Create a Shared Data Pool

Learn how to effectively organize data of connected districts.

A Shared Data Pool is a centralized monitoring feature that lets you access all district data connected to your application using a single API credential. A shared pool can contain an unlimited number of districts and schools, enabling seamless tracking of information from various sources in one location.

Requirements

  • Vendor admin access to your SchoolDay application.

Limitations

  • Shared data pool only works for newly created integrations. If you enable this feature when integrations are already active, their historical data will not be included in the pool. Only data from integrations created after enabling the shared data pool will populate the pool.
  • Once enabled, a shared data pool cannot be disabled. Ensure this is the desired configuration before proceeding.

Create a shared data pool

  1. Go to the Application Settings > Delivery Config.
  2. Click Advanced Settings.
  3. Select the Create Shared Data Pool checkbox.
  4. Click Save. A data processing will run. Wait a few minutes for it to complete.
  5. After processing completes, shared pool data displays on the Home > My Institutions
